Whitney Mostafiz-Levinson, D.M.D., M.S. is a Board-Certified Orthodontist in NYC on the Upper East Side. She is also an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthodontics at NYU. A Long Island native, Dr. Whitney studied Human Biology and Visual Arts at Brown University, graduating with honors. She completed dental school at Harvard School of Dental Medicine also with honors. Dr. Whitney completed her orthodontics residency at the historic University of Illinois at Chicago, where her research led to a Masters degree.

During her training, Dr. Whitney was fortunate to travel to Sydney, Australia twice to perform and publish award-winning research on obstructive sleep apnea and oral appliance therapy. This research was published in the peer-reviewed journals Chest and the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics in 2011 and 2019, respectively. Dr. Whitney published her knowledge on early intervention orthodontics in the peer-reviewed dental journal Compendium in 2019, as well.

Her passion to educate has led to presentations at conferences, study clubs, more recently webinars, as well as on the radio. Dr. Whitney speaks on topics that include early intervention orthodontics, sleep-disordered breathing/obstructive sleep apnea, multidisciplinary orthodontic treatment, and Invisalign treatment planning and design. She has treated both children and adults with traditional braces and aligner therapy. In addition, Dr. Whitney has experience with combined surgical treatment and seeing patients with craniofacial abnormalities.
